DETAILS

The ride starts out along some familiar roads (like McLaughlin, Mill Plain, Mac Arthur etc.) heading east towards Camas but then goes along the north side of Lacamas Lake on quiet, scenic Leadbetter Road, where we'll see the lovely Pittock House, built by newspaper and lumber baron Henry Pittock for his son and daughter-in-law in 1902. We'll avoid traffic by zigzagging through new neighborhoods just off NE 28th Street and past the Camas Meadows Golf Course, then onto new bike sidewalks heading east.

The ride features some familiar, flat roads where you can get your speed up, plus interesting neighborhoods (with low traffic) and a big descent coming off Prune Hill. We'll take a restroom stop at Heritage Park, soon followed by this ride's real payoff- the best views of Lacamas Lake around.

We will regroup from time to time, and no one will be dropped.
