DESCRIPTION

This is an opportunity to help move VBC's RACC-related possessions out of Bike Clark County and into storage units that we've leased nearby. 

We have a lot of stuff that needs to be carried out of the BCC basement, up a relatively steep set of stairs. Some of the stuff is relatively light, some stuff is very heavy. We'll have a 20' U-Haul truck to make moving stuff to our new storage units easier!

We'll need to disassemble and reassemble four 8' wide x 2' deep x 8' tall shelving units that are in the BCC basement, transport them to the new storage units, and reassemble them there.

STARTING POINT

We'll meet in the parking lot behind Bike Clark County. Please find parking on the street (there are usually some spots on Washington St. between 16th and 17th) or park along the outer edges of the parking lot, so there's room for the moving truck to get in and out of the lot. If you park in the New Seasons Market lot, you risk getting ticketed or towed!

THINGS TO BRING

• A water bottle and water for yourself! VBC has some bottled water among our supplies
• Sunscreen for yourself
• A cordless impact driver and charged batteries to help disassemble and re-assemble our shelving
• A cordless Sawmill with a wood+metal cutting blade in case there are screws we can't remove
• Deck screws in case we need some extras when reassembling shelving
• Hearing protection, since tools will make a lot of noise in a confined space
• Painters tape and Sharpies, so we can label anything that needs to be labelled
• Tie-down straps to secure items in the moving truck
