DETAILS
Fall is here and the leaves are changing. Come join me as I ride the beautiful Willapa Hills Gravel trail from Rainbow Falls to Menlo, to check out a new section of the trail that has opened due to the completion of two new bridges. This is an out and back ride on a trail that is dedicated solely to walkers, cyclists, and horses.
With the exception of one small detour, riders can now ride all way from Chehalis to South Bend, but that's a ride for another day.😉
This is a non-group ride, meaning, you are welcome to join and ride at my pace, or ride on your own.
A good portion of the trail is very fine gravel and packed dirt. It is recommended you run at least 38mm tires, especially once we get pass Pe Ell, as the terrain gets a little rougher as we head down hill.
Riders can stop at any portion and head back if needed. As long as you stick to the trail, it's impossible to get lost.
Please bring a sack lunch to enjoy. Pe Ell Country Market is located off Main and 4th (right near the trail) should you forget something.
Lastly, to park at Rainbow Falls, a WA Discover Pass is needed. No pass = ticket.
