DETAILS
This is the first in a series of weekend rides designed to help you prepare for the
Metric Plus route
at this year's
Ride Around Clark County event
. We're not training on the RACC route itself, but we
will
build up to similar distance and elevation gain.
This week's route is the shorter version of the Club's popular Salmon Creek to Brush Prairie Friday morning ride! The ride is relatively flat and consists mostly of country roads with minimal traffic. We start from the Salmon Creek Starbucks (NE 139th St & NE 20th Ave), head east toward Brush Prairie, then venture north almost into Battle Ground, before returning to our starting point. The ride is almost completely flat, but there are several short hills.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
Not registered for RACC yet? We don't care: come ride with us!
Interested in trying the Friday ride but can't ride during the week? Come ride with us!
Riding an eBike? We love eBikes: come ride with us!
REGROUP POINTS
If necessary, we'll stop near the entrance to
Prairie Field
(
StreetView
), which is around 13 miles into the ride, to regroup.
RESTOOMS & WATER
There are no easily accessible restrooms or water fountains available on this ride. Plan accordingly!
REGISTRATION
Registration is required and almost always free to both members and non-members. Please scroll to the bottom of this page to register for this event.

before
the ride.
VBC members get free turn-by-turn directions when using the RideWithGPS app of their smartphone! Find instructions for using RideWithGPS on the Club's
Resources
page. We also have advice on repurposing an old cellphone to provide
GPS Navigation on the Cheap
.
