DETAILS
Looking for some fun in the sun? The forecast for this Sunday afternoon ride calls for sunny and warm (60's) weather! We'll take advantage of that great weather by hitting the highlights from three absolutely
classic
Club routes!
Starting from the Safeway parking lot (gather near the Starbuck's) we'll head out toward Brush Prairie using the same route as the usual
Friday Ride
.
Just past China Ditch we'll switch over to the route used by the
Non-Throbbing Thigh Thriller
, heading north toward Battle Ground. We'll climb Heart Attack Hill, stop to catch our breath, then coast down to the Battle Ground skate park/Community Center for a break. From Battle Ground we head west, back toward the start, still following the Non-TTT route.
Right where the Non-TTT route would normally begin the long climb up Mount Vista, we switch over to the
Reverse Newliner
route, via NW Carty Road, and ride it in reverse back to our starting point. Yes, it's a Reverse Reverse Newliner (a.k.a. the Double Reverse Newliner)! The rolling hills in this last 1/3rd of the route include 2/3rds of the elevation gain (close to 1000'). Luckily, none of these hills are particularly long or steep and Sunday afternoon traffic is usually light so we'll take it (relatively) easy as we head back to the start.
REGISTRATION
