JOE: We ride for coffee! I’ve got expiring River Maiden credits and will buy YOU a cuppa Joe after the ride if you’re the first to register and ride with me.
MARTIN: 8/28/2023 is the 60th Anniversary of Martin Luther King’s life-changing speech. We’ll ride past the Vancouver school named for him.
PAUL: A grove of trees was planted in honor of Paul Danzer, a talented, smart, funny journalist who also happens to be Anna Danzer’s husband. We’ll check on Paul’s trees as we ride through Biddlewood Park.
HENRIETTA: I know of only two schools here named after Black Americans. We’ll ride by Henrietta Lacks High School.
TOM: We will ride past Carole Dollemore’s house to say hi and then past the Tom D Memorial Cyclist Salad Bar (my house). Then - back to River Maiden for coffee!
Bring a bike in good working order (pump those tires), wear your helmet (REQUIRED), and tuck in some water, and a tube that fits your wheel. Have questions? Bring those, too! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended.
