Start your weekend off with a bike ride! But...this isn't just "any" ride. You get to see all that Portland has to offer: After traversing through Vancouver, head into Portland by going past the airport. Then, to homelessness (urban camping), to high-end Mt. Tabor houses, to hipsters in SE Portland, up through diverse North Portland, and then back to Vancouver. Starting from Bike Clark County... Goes east along McLoughlin/MacArthur to I-205 bridge I-205 (along bike route) south to Yamhill Yamhill west up and over Mt. Tabor dropping down via SE Lincoln Lincoln west to East Esplanade Esplanade North to Williams Williams to 1-5 bridge and back to BCC The complete route is here. Due to the complexity of the route, we are limiting the number of riders to make sure it's a safe and pleasant ride.
Notes:
Please arrive 15 minutes early to be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policyand be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet or download to your device. Maps are not provided. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start.
