Hello everyone!
You're receiving this email as a member of an advocacy organization or community group that has intersected with Cascade or Washington Bikes -- I've got a timely action item for you:
Next week, I am going to D.C. to meet with our Washington federal delegates to defend federal funding programs for active transportation (part of the Bike League's annual summit and National Bike Lobby Day). We’ve prepared letters of support for each congress member to show why federal funding matters to our state and must be protected. As someone who has seen the benefits of these dollars at work to make biking/walking better in your communities, I am requesting your organizational sign on to the letter(s) that apply to your geographic area. We're on a short deadline: Please review the letters of support in your congressional district(s), and add your information to our Sign On Request Form by Tuesday, March 11.
Feel free to share this email with other organizations in your area who are also interested in protecting active transportation funding. Thank you for your help, and let me know if you have any questions! -- Rachel Schaeffer
Statewide Coalition Officer She/her (317) 847-0789
Cross STP off your bucket list! Member registration starts Jan. 7 for the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic presented by Alaska Airlines.
