DETAILS
Carpool from McLaughlin Middle School parking lot at 9am or meet at Banks Trailhead at 10am
Description: Approximately 42-mile round trip ride, (it's an out and back so feel free to go as far as you want), with lunch stop in Vernonia. Ride starts from Banks Trailhead and is on a paved rails to trails bicycle/pedestrian path. Route is mostly shaded forest. Bring water. Approximately 900 feet of elevation gain and loss each way. This is a popular ride for bicyclists in the lower Wilamette Valley.

Ride Start: 10am from Banks Trailhead. From Portland, drive west on US 26 for about 21 miles. Go about 0.5 miles past State Route 6, (NW Wilson River Highway), and turn left onto NW Banks Road.
If the parking lot at the trailhead is full, additional parking is available at Five Star Builders, (13981 NW Main St. Banks, OR), which is across the road from the trailhead parking lot and Ziply Fiber Optics located just down Main Street in Banks.
