Puget Island Ride Saturday, September 13th – Don’t...

I agree.  I was just there over this last holiday weekend camping on the river a few houses down from the ferry.  It is so unique and peaceful that I go there every year.  There are more cows than cars, matter of fact the only time you'll really see cars on the island are those coming and going from the ferry.

I highly recommend this route/ride, did it a number of years ago,  it is quite unique and a real  blast.

Ready for a unique and scenic bike ride? Then join us next Saturday, September 13th, for an adventure through the lower Columbia River basin, including two fun ferry crossings! We'll explore charming Puget Island (on the Columbia River, not Puget Sound!) and pedal through a wildlife refuge home to endangered Columbian white-tailed deer. The ride includes a short section of easy gravel trail, manageable on a road bike, and a brief stretch (less than a mile) on a highway with a wide shoulder, but the rest of the route is on peaceful roads. Remember to bring $6 in cash for the ferry and a lunch, and prepare for a memorable day along the river. See the event on the VBC-USA Club Calendar for full details:
