Kelley Point - 6PM (VAN)

22 miles

489 ft

Ride Type:

Cancellation Guidelines:

Rain / Lightening / Wind > 25 mph

This ride features speed and sprint workouts.  It is a relaxed ride out to Marine drive (approx 5 miles), followed by 11 miles of speed work and a final sprint to the bathrooms (re-group location).  The ride finishes with a mellow ride ride back to the finish.

This ride typically breaks into multiple groups, with some faster riders out front.  Riders must have advanced skills and be comfortable participating in a slip stream.

The group will start at an 18mph pace and will ramp up over the season to 22+ mph.

Weather guidelines:  Ride will cancel for rain due to sprint and slip stream dangers on wet surfaces.

Plan on joining us for dinner and socializing afterwards at Jorge's or one of the local breweries in downtown Vancouver – just a few blocks from the ride start.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start.

Remember - we want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner.Ride safely and have fun!
