About the abnormal ride series -
I have been told that I am an abnormal rider. I can live with that, and this series will celebrate that. This series will be rides that are atypical of our normal club rides. The rides may be very scenic and/or long and/or hilly and/or out of the area. Or they may just be silly fun. You be the judge.
About this abnormal ride -
Come out for a neighborhood night ride. We might see some Christmas lights, though I will not guarantee it!
If you feel like it, decorate yourself and your bike with Christmas lights and decorations, doodahs, and blinkies. Also feel free to feed candies, cookies, and other goodies to your ride leaders
It will be a group ride and the pace will be 12-14 mph. Wear adequate clothes to stay warm. While we don't guarantee seeing lights, we do guarantee that you will NOT warm up. Jan is your expert on overdressing if you need advice.
I have tried to stay on lower traffic residential roads, though we twice cross both Mill Plain Blvd and 162nd Ave, at signals. In addition there will be crossings of other smaller arterial roads. Jan V will be co-leading the ride and will ride sweep for the group.
FRONT AND BACK LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED. Be aware that it can be harder to see potholes, pavement cracks, etc.

Weather cancellation – I will cancel the ride for steady rain or frequent showers. I will also cancel if roads are damp and the temperatures are rapidly falling towards freezing. If I cancel will try to send an email to the buddies list about two hours prior to the ride.
