If you like meandering and seeing fun stuff in Portland, this might be the ride for you.  If you are in a hurry or want a fitness ride, this is not a good choice for you. A PDXPERIENCE is to be savored...

What all do we ride and see?  Tons of things!
But first - BRING A QUARTER.  You'll need it for our PDXPERIENCE.
Second - I'll bring the JELLY BEANS.  They will be an important part of our PDXPERIENCE.  You'll see.

Our PDXPERIENCE:  Ride over the I-5 Bridge through Expo (see how to ride MAX with your bike if you don't know) and follow a neighborhood greenway to downtown via the Broadway Bridge. Then ride through downtown PDX on the improved bike lanes of Broadway to Harvey Milk (BIG BIKE LANE) to Better Naito, a groovy 2-way cycle path.

We ride the Waterfront Path (public restroom at mile 11), then Moody Trail to the NO CARS Tilikum Crossing over the Willamette.
More path to the Gideon Crossing, the bike/ped elevator over the railroad tracks.
Ride a few blocks of the Clinton Bikeway to Ladd's Circle.  Normally we'd see or even ride in the Ladd's 500, aka the PDX version of the Indy 500 or the "Portlandiest bikiest thing" you can do in Portland!  Alas...not this year.  Coffee shop there offers a 2nd restroom opportunity (mile 14).

From there we check the progress of Earl's Bridge, another NO CAR crossing over I-84.  Then it's northbound to an optional pizza stop ($5 all day for pizza at Life of Pie) or skip the chow and visit the GOATS before we head home.

Public restroom at mile 11
Restaurant restroom at mile 19, Life of Pie where the Executive Committee decided:  we WILL STOP for pizza and beer.  They raised their HH prices to $7 for the Margherita Pizza, about 12" so feeds 4 if you're me!  Share!  Also a great kale salad and more.  Life of Pie
