New to the club and hoping to meet some fellow riders so thought this might be a way to do it. Details and links...

Introducing: the Spin N' Sin - RL Carl Benda / Wednesdays @ 4:30PM (Vancouver)

Add some fun midway thru the slog of the week! The idea is to burn enough calories (the "Spin") such that we all can feel sufficiently good in order to - if time allows & a suitable and safe (probably a spot with outdoor seating for now) venue can be found - gather for 90 min or so and socialize while enjoying a nice bite and a beverage (the "Sin"). This ride is just over 30 miles and features just enuff hills (800ft of gain) to keep most mountain goats happy for a weekday ride, while also offering descents sane enough to stay off the brakes and keep the legs working.

Pace: After 20 mins (I'm old!!) of warm-up, on a completely flat (hardly any) section, w/ smooth (not much exists) pavement, no wind (ha!), and having recovered from whatever hill, proposed pace is 18mph. Plan on just a bit over 2 hrs to complete the route, barring any flats/mechanicals.
