Route Information

#0 - CRUISER: Channeling Your Inner Clay

If you haven't ridden Clay's Tour de Friends, you might need clarification on this ride title.  Clay is a genius at finding meandering paths through neighborhoods so riders can pedal and yak safely at the same time.  Jan did her best to recreate a Clay-type ride when she designed this route that she and Bob originally called Parks Hop CRUISER.  Dave rode the inaugural ride with them, declared that its 'wanderlustiness' recaptured his boyhood of neighborhood riding, and rechristened it "Channeling Your Inner Clay."  We like it and hope you do too.

Highlights:
11 parks in 15 miles, almost one every mile
How-low-can-you-go-LOW traffic streets
One blocked-off-to-traffic street
A couple of "secret paths"
A stretch of old Evergreen Airfield, now open to adventurous cruisers (weather dependent)
Starbucks with very shady, cool outdoor seating

Please park in the school parking lot across from River Maiden

CRUISER routes are short and flat.
