Hiya Buddies!

Great meeting last night. If you missed it, or even if you were there and
wanted to see more info, here we go!

Eric Giacchino inspired us with details of the non-profit Bike Clark County
and all the amazing things they do. There is no cost for membership -
simply join their facebook page (search Bike Clark County). E-mail
giacchino1831 at comcast.net if you'd like to be added to their e-mail blast
list.

David Jones also inspired us with his plans to tour a big rectangle around
the country to raise money for Share. He leaves May 19th and can use an
escort out of town. Any money he raises will go to Share to help the
homeless. Another way to help is to drop off your canned good donation (or
anything from the list on the vbc website) to River Maiden. Jan has
volunteered to gather that stuff up and take it to Share His website is
http://www.rollingacrossamerica.org/

Cindi Rauch also shared her amazing plans with us - 50 centuries in 50
states in 50 days. GO CINDI!!!

Mark and Debbie Mansell shared their exciting news too - they are leaving
June 16th to ride from our Portland to Portland Maine. They are raising
money for Leader Dogs for the Blind, which is a Lions Club supported
organization. Their website is
www.CyclingForLeaderDogs.org<http://www.cyclingforleaderdogs.org/>

In other news, there will be no May club meeting.

RACC planning is moving along smoothly, thanks to our very dedicated Mary
McClaren. We are looking for pre-registrants so make it your goal to get
one person to sign up. We also need volunteers to work the volunteer ride
on May 12th - please contact me at bicyclekitty at gmail.com if you're
interested. It'll earn you free registration to ride RACC on May 5th and
attendance at the pizza party on May 12th.

Dennis Johnson let us know the sad news that the Discovery Walk is no
more. Thanks for all of your hard work on this event, Dennis.

Thanks all!

Maria
