Ladies, Come Ride With Us On Sunday March 18th

On March 18th, women across the nation will be gathering for "National Women's
Ride Day" to enjoy a ride together on their local streets and trails to
celebrate women in cycling. Whether you're an accomplished rider or a
first-timer, Women's Ride Day events will help you strengthen your relationship
with your bike and with other women in your area who ride!

Join Specialized and Camas Bike and Sport as we will be organizing two rides
from the shop.

Our road ride will be a 30 mile loop using rural roads of the Camas Hills,
leaving from the shop at 10am. It will be lead by an experienced Vancouver Bike
Club ride leader(Ayla), and will regroup often to assure no one is left behind,
here is the route description; http://ridewithgps.com/routes/966842 Road bikes
highly recommended!

A mountain bike ride will also be held, lead by shop co-owner Katina. This ride
will also leave from the shop at 10 am. If trail conditions permit, group will
carpool to Sandy Ridge trail or Tarbell trail, otherwise alternate trail will
be chosen. Plan for 2-3 hours of trail time and 1.5 hours of travel time.

A limited amount of loaner/demo bikes may be available if you don't have your
own bike.

These rides will be open for all levels of riders, however If you still feel
that this may be too much for you and feel intimidated by the distance/ and or
elevation gains, we can upon request form a 3rd ride for beginners about 15
miles round trip from the shop to the end of the Dike trail and back.

All participants will receive and event water bottle from Specialized, energy
and recovery drinks from FRS, water, and light snacks will be available. Maps
will be provided. A few small items may be raffled if participation is high
enough!

Please come prepared and arrive a half hour early, as leaders will attempt to
leave on time.

Helmets are required!

Here is a recommended list of what to bring

Flat fix kit: seat bag or hydration pack, tire levers, tube, pump/ CO2
Multi tool
Water bottles or hydration system
Nutrition- nutritional bar, energy gel, etc.
Cycling shoes/ athletic shoes
Gloves
Waterproof clothing & Jacket - weather appropriate

Weather statement: Yes, we know, the date suggests they scheduled this event
from Southern California?! So the chance that there will be rain is likely, but
us Northwest riders plan our rides and hope for the best! In the unlikely event
that we get rained out (LOL) we will reschedule for the following week, but
think only good thoughts!

Please RSVP to this event post,
http://www.facebook.com/events/231125873649428/ or email katina at camasbikes.com
and please indicate which ride you will be attending, thanks!
Okay ladies, let's get ready to ride!!
