On Monday, August 21 - the day of the ECLIPSE - we have a special ride! We will still meet at 8am at the parking lot of Safeway. And...we will basically ride the Northwest Route 1.0 in reverse. However, we will make two important stops! Stop #1: The Donut Nook for donuts, of course. Stop #2: WSU-Vancouver Campus - for an Eclipse Viewing Party That's right...the route will veer north to end up at WSU-V around 10am-ish. We will hang out on the campus during the height of the eclipse time. Bring your own (safety 1st) glasses. And...make sure there are front and rear lights on your bike, too! Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policyand be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Please make sure to print a ride cue sheet, if you need one. Make sure your bike is in good working order. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start.
