What is a Joyride? In this ride series we pedal for beginner-friendly fun.
Joyride Routes – They vary. We may stop somewhere along the way or gather at the end for coffee, bakery goodies, pizza or beer. Joyride Distance – Always 10 or less
Joyride Pace – Always 10 or less, except on the downhills when we fly.* No one left behind.
Joyride Terrain – Flat with occasional short inclines. This IS southwest Washington! *This also means there won’t be many downhills.
Joyride Starts – Times and places will vary.
Joyride Riders – If you’re new, recovering, or just want to enjoy summer casually, come on a Joyride. Some rides are suitable for bringing kids and grandkids. Look over the map link or call me if you have questions.
Notes:
Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing. Riders are expected to have read the Safe Riding Policy and be familiar with the Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions to the ride leader or Road Captain. Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), RoadIDs and cell phones are recommended. Make sure your bike is in good working order with the ABC Bike Safety Check. Please communicate with the leader if you decide to go off route or not return to the start.
Remember - we want to be awesome representatives for cycling and spread a love for our great sport locally by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner. Ride safely and have fun!
