Cobweb Sweeper

16 miles   RwGPS (link to see route, hills, etc.)

Terrain:

Minor - Occasional hills with easy grades

Elevation Gain:

334 ft

Pace:

14 (Moderate)or maybe 15ish since we've been sweeping the cobwebs for a few weeks now.

Ride Type:

Group - No rider left behind.

Weather Cancels?

Ride cancelled for lightning, snow, or ice.

Description:

Social ride but without a lot of meandering.  Pedalling the RACC route to cross 164th Ave gets the blood pumping.  Then we find a few streets that have relatively few stop signs.  In Fairway Village we ride Baypoint down a long swooping hill - no stop signs!  We take Blairmont back up but it is gentle.  One more hill towards the end when we climb Buena Vista from Andresen. I will bring cue sheets.

Registration:

Registration is not required. You don't have to be a member to try us out but we'd ask that you join if you're riding with us consistently.

Expectations:

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to sign up and be a part of the announcements and safety briefing.

Riders are expected to have read the club's Safe Riding Policy and  be familiar with club Ride Style Definitions. Please direct questions or concerns to the ride leader or our club Road Captain.

Helmets are required. Lights (front and rear), Road IDs, cell phones, tool kit, mirrors, and pump are recommended. Check your bike before you come to make sure it's in good working order.

Ride leader will bring maps/cues to the ride.  You can see our route online at the Ride With GPS link above. Riders should be able to maintain the stated pace, but this is a "No rider left behind group."Please communicate with your leader if you decide to go off route.

Remember - we want to be awesome representatives of the cycling community in Clark County and spread a love and respect for our great sport by obeying all traffic laws and riding in a safe and courteous manner.  Ride safely and have fun!
