I own a Burley Duet Tandem that I have decided to sell and would like to see it go to a good home at a fair price.
This is a beautiful bike that was always cared for. I estimate that it is a 1989 or 1990 (I am the second owner.) It is in excellent condition and has not
seen much use. Color is bright red with all original Burley decals. It has been stored in a heated garage for the past 10 years. Handmade by Burley in Eugene, the frame uses the original Burley sloped chainstay design. Based on my rough measurements it has
20.5" captain's and 18" stoker's seat tubes. (From memory, I believe this fits a 5'6"-6' captain and a 5'-5'6" stoker, but the seat stems are quite adjustable.)
Features include:
Drop handlebars with bar-end shifters
Sakae seat stems with gel seats, adjustable stoker handlebar gooseneck
Dia-Compe cantilever brakes plus an Arai rear drum brake
Sun Mistral M20 rims with Suzue Tandem hubs, Specialized 27" x 1-3/8" road tires
Sakae SX 54/44/28 Triple-ring and Suntour AccuShift XCE 4050 derailleur (13-28) – this is an 18-speed bike

The bike rode very well the last time I rode it, although it could probably benefit from a good tune-up. This is a tandem worth owning. I would like it
to go to someone who appreciates the quality of the original Burley tandem design and build excellence and is looking for a tandem at a reasonable price. I also have a roof-top Thule tandem rack available for sale. Bike is located in the Portland area. If
